Gentleness and truthfulness govern Brooke Andrew's work-a powerful combination of unique qualities. They bring a calm support to Brooke's engagements, while also infusing them with energy and honesty.
The professionalism and the integrity of Brooke's practice are matched by a determination to inspire healing along with a little humor. She affectionately calls her work "healing madness," and her clients have responded similarly, giving her the playful titles like "Captain Pain Killer."
All kinds of people and all body types are among Brooke's clients. Her conviction is that there is nothing about the body that can not heal or be better. Brooke has empathic understanding for people with trauma in their bodies. She understands well the struggle to continue one's normal routine, in spite of obstacles to living life fully - from the ability to exercise to just getting through the day.
Brooke started her healing career as a massage therapist and had a private practice in Denver for four years. An evident transformation in the health and vitality of one of her closest friends led her to explore Structural Integration.
Determined to find the strongest program Brooke chose the Guild for Structural Integration, in Boulder, CO, and graduated in May 2000. She found a learning environment so supportive that she applied the same approach to her practice. The Guild saw her as a person, rather than a customer, and Brooke does the same, approaching her clients as literal partners to the healing process. In fact, it is imperative that Brooke's clients be committed to their own healing.
"The work doesn't happen without a true partnership," she said. "It's a joint endeavor to take on the challenges that impede our health and mental state."
Her commitment to a healing practice requires that she guide her clients both verbally and emotionally, and her clear communication style and her professional conviction deeply strengthen her ability to do both.
Brooke's private practice for Structural Integration is in Boulder, CO. She also holds a part time practice in California and travels abroad to do charity work in her field.
“Structural Integration is the source of some of my greatest life satisfaction. At the root of my work exists an uncommon delight: the knowledge that my clients are consistently inspired by each of their sessions.”
